Moonlight Amphitheater
Client: City of Vista
14,216 SF
As part of a Design-Build team with Sundt Construction, Roesling Nakamura Terada Architects, Inc. (RNT) designed this 14,216 SF outdoor Performing Arts Center which provides a stage for the award winning regional theatre company, Moonlight Stage Productions. As the cultural arts program of Vista’s Recreation and Community Services Department, Moonlight creates memorable theatrical experiences at Brengle Terrace Park. Key features include a fly loft with an electronic rigging system for scenery and equipment, backstage restrooms and dressing rooms, a rehearsal room, scene shop, costume room, orchestra pit, theatrical equipment, lighting and audio/visual equipment packages and site upgrades including ADA access, toilet facilities and a ticket booth. The facilities provide opportunities for increased programming, rentals and overall usage of the Amphitheater for arts and cultural programs. The stage house is also a gathering place for the community as it is a venue for local events such as the annual Fourth of July Festival that includes music performances, food and a fireworks show.
